Tap the contact or number at the top
Tap Block this Caller or Block number
Confirm the block
On Android, open the Messages app
Open the spam message
Tap the three-dot menu
Tap Block and report spam
Confirm the block
On iPhone, go to Settings
Tap Messages
Tap Blocked Contacts
Tap Add New
Select the contact or number to block
On Android, open the Phone app
Go to Recent calls
Tap the number
Tap Block or Report spam
Use your carrier’s spam-blocking service
Enable spam filtering in your messaging app
Turn on Do Not Disturb for unknown senders
Delete and report spam messages when possible
