Place the cursor at the start of the paragraph
Press the Tab key
Use the ruler or paragraph settings to set a first-line indent
Select the paragraph and apply an indent from the formatting menu
Use spaces only if tab or indent tools are unavailable
Repeat for each paragraph you want indented
