Wash your hands
Check the Wegovy pen label and dose
Make sure the medication is clear and not expired
Choose an injection site: abdomen, thigh, or upper arm
Rotate injection sites each week
Clean the skin with an alcohol swab and let it dry
Remove the pen cap
Follow the pen instructions to unlock and prepare the dose
Place the pen firmly against the skin
Press and hold the injection button until the dose is fully delivered
Keep the pen in place for the recommended count from the instructions
Remove the pen from the skin
Dispose of the pen in a sharps container
Do not reuse the pen
Use Wegovy on the same day each week
If you miss a dose, follow the prescribing instructions or ask your healthcare provider
