Wash your hands
Gather the Zepbound pen, alcohol swab, and a sharps container
Check the medication label and expiration date
Make sure the solution is clear and colorless to slightly yellow
Choose an injection site on the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm
Rotate injection sites each week
Clean the injection site with an alcohol swab and let it dry
Remove the pen cap
Place the pen firmly against the skin at the injection site
Unlock the pen if required
Press and hold the injection button until the injection is complete
Keep the pen in place until the indicator shows the injection is finished
Remove the pen from the skin
Dispose of the used pen in a sharps container
Do not reuse the pen
Follow your prescriber’s instructions for dosing and timing
Seek medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction or severe side effects
