Turn off power to the kitchen area
Measure the installation location
Mark the mounting points on the wall or cabinet
Locate wall studs or ceiling joists
Drill pilot holes
Install the mounting bracket or support frame
Position the hood and secure it to the bracket
Connect the ductwork if the hood is vented
Seal duct joints with foil tape
Install the vent cap if required
Connect the electrical wiring
Secure the wiring cover
Install the grease filters
Test the fan and lights
Check for proper airflow and stability
