Gather a towel bar, mounting brackets, screws, wall anchors, drill, level, pencil, tape measure, screwdriver, and stud finder
Choose the installation location
Measure and mark the desired height and width
Use a level to align the marks
Find wall studs if possible
Hold the mounting bracket in place and mark the screw holes
Drill pilot holes at the marked points
Insert wall anchors if not drilling into studs
Align the bracket and secure it with screws
Attach the towel bar to the mounted brackets
Tighten all screws
Check that the towel bar is level and secure
