Add blocking where needed for seams, edges, stairs, and rail posts
Ensure proper slope for drainage if required by the system
Install Trex starter clips or hidden fasteners as specified
Place the first deck board squarely and secure it
Fasten each board with approved hidden fasteners or screws
Maintain consistent gap spacing between boards and at walls or fixed objects
Stagger board seams over joists when using multiple lengths
Cut boards with fine-tooth blades suitable for composite decking
Pre-drill and use approved face screws only where required
Install fascia, trim, and edge boards after field decking is complete
Leave required expansion gaps at ends, edges, and fixed structures
Clean the deck surface after installation
