Install Python 3.8 or newer
Open a terminal or command prompt
Run `python -m pip install -U yt-dlp`
Verify installation with `yt-dlp –version`
On Windows, you can also download the `yt-dlp.exe` release from the official GitHub releases page
Place the executable in a folder on your PATH
Verify installation with `yt-dlp –version`
To update later, run `python -m pip install -U yt-dlp`
To use it, run `yt-dlp
