Use a shoe, paper towel, or tissue to crush it firmly
Spray it directly with a household insecticide labeled for cockroaches
Trap it under a cup or container, then slide cardboard underneath and dispose of it
Vacuum it up with a vacuum cleaner, then empty the contents immediately into a sealed bag
Use cockroach bait gel or bait stations to kill it and others nearby
Apply boric acid only according to the product label and keep it away from children and pets
Seal cracks and remove food and water sources to prevent more cockroaches from coming back
