Back away slowly and keep a safe distance
Keep children and pets away
Close the RV door if the snake is inside and you can do so safely
Do not try to grab, trap, or strike the snake
Do not use your hands, feet, or tools to attack it
Call local animal control, wildlife control, or a licensed snake removal service
If you are in immediate danger, call emergency services
If the snake is outside and you can do it safely, keep watch from a distance until help arrives
Seal gaps and openings after the snake is removed
Wear boots and gloves when checking around the RV
If someone is bitten, call emergency services immediately and seek medical care
Keep the bitten person still and calm
Remove rings, watches, or tight clothing near the bite
Do not cut, suck, ice, or tourniquet the bite
Do not attempt to kill the snake yourself
