Choose a sunny location with at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight

Use well-draining soil with a slightly alkaline to neutral pH

Avoid heavy clay or waterlogged soil

Plant lavender in spring after the last frost

Space plants 1 to 3 feet apart depending on the variety
