How to Lay Floor Tiles on Concrete?

Clean the concrete surface thoroughly

Remove dust, grease, paint, and debris

Check the slab for cracks, moisture, and uneven areas

Repair cracks and fill low spots

Make sure the floor is level and dry

Mark the center lines of the room

Dry-lay tiles to plan the layout

Mix tile adhesive or thin-set mortar

Apply adhesive with a notched trowel

Set the first tile at the center or layout line

Press each tile firmly into place

Use tile spacers for even grout joints

Cut edge tiles as needed with a tile cutter

Check alignment and level as you go

Let the adhesive cure fully

Remove spacers after curing

Mix grout and fill the joints

Wipe off excess grout with a damp sponge

Allow grout to cure

Apply sealant if required

Clean the finished tile surface
