Turn the fireplace control knob to the OFF position
Wait at least 5 minutes to let any gas clear
Make sure the gas supply valve is open
Remove the access panel if needed
Set the control knob to PILOT
Press and hold the control knob in
While holding the knob, press the igniter button repeatedly
If there is no igniter button, use a long fireplace lighter at the pilot opening
Keep holding the control knob for 30 to 60 seconds after the pilot lights
Release the knob and check that the pilot stays lit
Turn the control knob to ON
Turn on the fireplace switch or remote
If the pilot does not light after several tries, turn everything off and wait before trying again
If you smell gas, stop immediately and call a professional
If the pilot will not stay lit, contact a qualified technician
