Choose a litter box with low sides
Place hay in or near the litter box
Put the box in the rabbit’s preferred bathroom corner
Use paper-based, wood-pulp, or pelleted litter
Avoid clay, clumping, pine, and cedar litters
Confine the rabbit to a smaller area at first
Put hay in the litter box while training
Move any droppings into the litter box
Clean accidents with an enzyme cleaner
Reward the rabbit when it uses the box
Keep the litter box clean
Add more litter boxes if needed
Spay or neuter the rabbit
Be consistent with placement and routine
