Open the Facebook app or website
Go to your profile
Tap the three dots next to Edit Profile
Select Lock Profile
Tap Lock Your Profile to confirm
If you do not see Lock Profile, check your profile privacy settings
Set your audience for posts, stories, and friend requests to Friends or Only Me
Turn on Profile and Tagging Review
Limit past posts to Friends only
Hide your phone number, email, and birthday from public view
Remove or restrict public profile details
Turn on two-factor authentication for extra account security
