Use a garage-door-safe lubricant on hinges
Apply lubricant to rollers
Apply lubricant to springs
Apply lubricant to bearings and moving joints
Lubricate the lock and latch if needed
Wipe off excess lubricant
Open and close the door several times
Reapply only if parts still sound dry or squeaky
