Collect pan drippings from roasted beef, steak, or prime rib
Skim off excess fat, leaving about 1 to 2 tablespoons in the pan
Place the pan over medium heat
Add 1 to 2 cups beef broth or stock
Scrape up the browned bits from the bottom of the pan
Add a splash of Worcestershire sauce if desired
Add a small amount of soy sauce if desired
Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes
Season with black pepper
Add salt only if needed
Strain the sauce through a fine sieve
Serve warm
