Cuban bread, split lengthwise
Yellow mustard
Sliced roast pork
Sliced ham
Swiss cheese
Dill pickles, sliced lengthwise
Butter or lard for the outside of the bread
Spread mustard on both cut sides of the bread
Layer Swiss cheese, ham, roast pork, and pickles on the bottom half
Close the sandwich with the top half of the bread
Butter or lightly coat the outside of the bread
Press the sandwich in a panini press or on a hot skillet with a heavy weight
Cook until the bread is crisp and golden and the cheese is melted
Slice diagonally and serve hot
