Gather fabric, rib knit, thread, cord, eyelets, and a zipper if needed
Create or print the pattern pieces
Wash, dry, and press the fabric
Cut the front, back, sleeves, hood, cuffs, hem band, and pocket pieces
Mark all notches, grainlines, and placement points
Sew the front and back shoulder seams
Attach the hood pieces together
Sew the hood to the neckline
Sew the sleeves to the armholes
Sew the side seams and sleeve seams
Attach the cuffs to the sleeves
Attach the hem band to the bottom
Add the pocket if included
Install the zipper if making a zip-up hoodie
Add eyelets and drawstring if desired
Topstitch seams where needed
Trim loose threads
Press the finished hoodie
Check fit and make final adjustments
