Choose a pumpkin
Gather a knife, spoon, marker, and candle or LED light
Cut a lid around the stem
Remove the lid
Scoop out the seeds and pulp
Scrape the inside walls clean
Draw a face or design on the pumpkin
Cut out the marked shapes
Smooth any rough edges
Place a light inside
Put the lid back on
Display the jack o lantern
