Gather blocks, redstone dust, redstone torches, repeaters, sticky pistons, slime blocks, observers, buttons, and a building block of your choice
Build a vertical shaft for the lift
Place a sticky piston facing upward at the bottom of the shaft
Attach a slime block to the sticky piston
Place an observer facing upward so it detects the block movement
Add another sticky piston and slime block above if making a multi-floor lift
Connect the observer output to the piston with redstone dust or direct placement
Add repeaters if timing needs adjustment
Build a platform on top of the slime blocks for the player to stand on
Add walls around the shaft to guide the lift
Place a button or lever at the base to activate the lift
Test the lift and adjust piston and observer placement if needed
Add a stopping mechanism at the top floor
Repeat the same setup for downward movement if you want a two-way lift
