2 oz bourbon
1/4 oz simple syrup
8 to 10 fresh mint leaves
Crushed ice
Mint sprig, for garnish
Place the mint leaves and simple syrup in a julep cup or glass
Gently muddle the mint
Add the bourbon
Fill the glass with crushed ice
Stir until the glass is frosty
Top with more crushed ice if needed
Garnish with a mint sprig
