Start with a square sheet of paper

Fold the paper diagonally the other way to make another triangle
Unfold the paper
Fold the paper in half horizontally
Unfold the paper
Fold the paper in half vertically
Unfold the paper
Bring the side corners inward to form a smaller square base
Fold the top layer’s left and right edges toward the center line to make a kite shape
Fold the top point downward over the folded edges
Unfold the last three folds
Lift the bottom point upward while collapsing the sides inward
Flatten the shape into a long diamond
Repeat the kite folds on the other side
Fold the top point downward again
Fold the bottom point upward along the center line to form the neck
Fold the neck upward and backward to create the swan’s head
Fold the tip of the head downward to make the beak
Gently pull the body and shape the wings
Adjust the folds to balance the swan
