Gather green paper, brown paper, scissors, glue, and a pencil
Draw and cut out a tree trunk from brown paper
Draw and cut out several leaf shapes from green paper
Fold or crumple the leaves slightly for texture
Glue the trunk onto a sheet of paper or cardboard
Attach the leaves around the top of the trunk
Add more layers of leaves to make the tree fuller
Let the glue dry completely
Optional: add branches, grass, or a background with extra paper pieces
