Heat a skillet over medium heat
Place one tortilla in the skillet
Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over half of the tortilla
Add optional fillings such as cooked chicken, beans, vegetables, or salsa
Fold the tortilla in half
Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown
Flip carefully and cook the other side for 2 to 3 minutes until the cheese is melted
Remove from the skillet
Let it cool for 1 minute
Slice into wedges
Serve warm
