Gather a small plastic bottle or cup, cardboard or a tray, baking soda, vinegar, dish soap, red food coloring, clay or papier-mâché, scissors, tape, and a spoon
Place the bottle or cup in the center of the tray or cardboard
Build a volcano shape around the bottle using clay or papier-mâché
Leave the top of the bottle open
Let the model dry completely if using papier-mâché or wet clay
Add a few spoonfuls of baking soda into the bottle
Add a few drops of dish soap and red food coloring
Pour vinegar into the bottle
Watch the eruption
Clean up the model after use
