Start a new page titled Works Cited
Center the title at the top of the page
Use the same font and size as the rest of the paper
Double-space the entire page
Use 1-inch margins on all sides
Alphabetize entries by the first word of each citation
Use a hanging indent for each entry
List the author’s last name first
Include the author’s first name after the last name
Put titles of books, websites, and other standalone works in italics
Put titles of articles, essays, and pages in quotation marks
Include publication information for each source
Include the date of publication when available
Include the URL for online sources when required
Match each citation to the source used in the paper
Check punctuation and capitalization carefully
Make sure every in-text citation has a matching Works Cited entry
Make sure every Works Cited entry is cited in the paper
