Choose the elevator type: water elevator, bubble elevator, piston elevator, or ladder elevator
Gather the needed materials
Build a vertical shaft to the desired height
For a water elevator:
Place signs or trapdoors at the bottom and top openings
Fill the shaft with water source blocks
Add soul sand at the bottom for upward movement
Add magma blocks at the bottom for downward movement
For a piston elevator:
Place sticky pistons in a vertical or stepped redstone layout
Add slime blocks or honey blocks to move the platform
Connect pistons with redstone, repeaters, and a button or lever
Build the platform on the moving blocks
For a ladder elevator:
Place ladders or scaffolding up the shaft
Ensure the shaft is open and climbable
Test the elevator
Adjust the design if needed
