Collect used vegetable oil or clean plant oil
Filter out food particles and debris
Remove water by heating the oil gently and letting it cool
Measure the oil volume
Prepare methoxide by mixing methanol with sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide
Add the methoxide to the warmed oil
Stir the mixture thoroughly for a set period
Let the mixture settle until it separates into two layers
Drain off the glycerin layer
Collect the biodiesel layer
Wash the biodiesel with water to remove impurities
Dry the biodiesel completely
Test the biodiesel quality before use
Store the biodiesel in a clean, sealed container
