Choose the material you want to use for the border
Measure the area where the border will go
Mark the border line clearly
Cut the border material to the required size
Prepare the surface or edge where the border will be placed
Apply adhesive, paint, stitching, or another fastening method
Attach the border carefully along the marked line
Press or secure it firmly in place
Trim any excess material
Check that the border is even and complete
