1 cup warm water
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons butter or oil
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups bread flour
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
Add ingredients to the bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer
Place water, sugar, butter or oil, and salt in the pan
Add flour on top of the wet ingredients
Make a small well in the flour and add the yeast
Select the basic bread setting
Choose the desired crust color
Start the machine
Remove the bread when the cycle is complete
Let the bread cool before slicing
