How To Make Chai Tea?

Add water to a saucepan and bring to a boil

Add black tea (or chai tea leaves) to the boiling water

Simmer for 2–5 minutes

Add ginger (fresh or ground) and simmer 1–2 minutes

Add spices (optional): cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and/or black pepper

Add sugar to taste and stir until dissolved

Pour in milk (or your preferred milk) and bring to a gentle simmer

Simmer 1–3 minutes, stirring occasionally

Strain into cups

Serve hot
