Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a saucepan over medium heat
Whisk in 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour and cook for 1 minute
Slowly whisk in 1 cup milk until smooth
Cook, stirring, until the sauce thickens
Add 2 cups cooked peas
Stir in salt and black pepper to taste
Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until heated through
Serve warm
