How To Make Crispy French Fries?

Choose starchy potatoes like Russet or Idaho

Peel the potatoes if desired

Cut potatoes into even sticks

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes to 2 hours

Drain and rinse the potatoes

Dry the potatoes thoroughly

Heat oil to 325°F to 350°F

Fry the potatoes in small batches for 4 to 6 minutes until soft but not browned

Remove and drain the fries

Let the fries cool for 10 to 20 minutes

Increase the oil temperature to 375°F

Fry the potatoes again in small batches until golden and crispy

Remove and drain on paper towels or a wire rack

Salt immediately after frying

Serve hot
