Mix blue and yellow paint
Add a little black to deepen the green
Add a small amount of red or brown to mute the brightness
Use more blue than yellow for a cooler dark green
Use more yellow than blue for a warmer dark green
Mix in a tiny amount of complementary color to dull the green
Adjust gradually until the shade becomes dark green
