Right-click an empty area on the desktop
Select View
Choose Small icons
On Windows, hold Ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel down while on the desktop
On macOS, right-click the desktop and choose Show View Options
Move the Icon size slider to the left
On Linux, right-click the desktop and select the icon size option if available
Reduce display scaling in system display settings if desktop icons still appear too large
