How To Make Dinner Rolls?

Warm 1 cup milk to about 110°F

Stir in 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast and 1 tablespoon sugar

Let sit 5 to 10 minutes until foamy

In a large bowl, mix 3 1/2 to 4 cups all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1 teaspoon salt

Add 1/4 cup melted butter, 1 egg, and the yeast mixture

Mix until a dough forms

Knead 8 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic

Place dough in a greased bowl

Cover and let rise 1 to 1 1/2 hours until doubled

Punch down the dough

Divide into 12 to 15 pieces

Shape into smooth rolls

Place in a greased baking dish or on a lined baking sheet

Cover and let rise 30 to 45 minutes until puffy

Preheat oven to 375°F

Brush rolls with melted butter

Bake 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown

Brush with more butter after baking

Serve warm
