Cook 1 cup rice and set aside
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a skillet
Add 1/2 pound ground beef, pork, or sausage
Cook until browned
Add 1 small chopped onion
Add 1 chopped bell pepper
Add 2 chopped celery stalks
Add 2 minced garlic cloves
Cook until softened
Stir in 1 teaspoon paprika
Stir in 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Stir in 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Stir in 1/2 teaspoon salt
Stir in 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Add 1 cup chicken broth
Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes
Stir in the cooked rice
Mix well until evenly combined
Cook for 2 to 3 minutes
Serve hot
