Mix 2 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 3/4 cup water in a bowl

Add 1 tablespoon oil if desired

Stir until a dough forms

Knead the dough for 5 to 10 minutes until smooth

Cover the dough and let it rest for 20 to 30 minutes

Divide the dough into small pieces

Roll each piece into a thin circle or oval

Heat a skillet or pan over medium-high heat

Cook each flatbread for 1 to 2 minutes on one side

Flip and cook for 1 to 2 minutes on the other side

Remove from the pan and serve warm
