How To Make French Fries?

Cut potatoes into fries

Soak cut potatoes in cold water for 30–60 minutes

Drain and dry potatoes thoroughly

Heat oil to 325°F–350°F (165°C–175°C)

Fry potatoes in batches 4–6 minutes until pale and tender

Remove fries and drain on a rack or paper towels

Increase oil temperature to 375°F–400°F (190°C–205°C)

Fry again 2–4 minutes until golden and crisp

Remove fries and drain

Immediately season with salt and optional seasonings (garlic powder, paprika, black pepper)

Serve hot
