Pat chicken pieces dry
Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and optional cayenne
Set up three bowls: flour, beaten eggs, and seasoned breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes
Dredge chicken in flour
Dip chicken in egg
Coat chicken in breadcrumbs or cornflakes
Spray chicken lightly with oil
Preheat air fryer to 375°F
Place chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket
Cook for 10 to 12 minutes
Flip chicken halfway through
Spray again lightly with oil if needed
Cook until golden brown and fully cooked
Check internal temperature reaches 165°F for breast meat and 175°F for thighs or drumsticks
Let chicken rest for a few minutes before serving
