Rinse 1 to 2 cups of fresh rose petals thoroughly

Use only pesticide-free, fragrant rose petals

Place the petals in a pot

Add enough distilled water to just cover the petals

Cover the pot with a lid

Simmer on very low heat for 15 to 20 minutes

Turn off the heat when the petals lose color

Let the mixture cool completely

Strain the liquid through a fine sieve or cheesecloth

Collect the rose water in a clean glass bottle

Store it in the refrigerator

Use within 1 to 2 weeks
