How To Make Gulab Jamun?

1 cup milk powder

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

2 tablespoons ghee

3 to 4 tablespoons milk

Oil or ghee for frying

5 cups sugar

5 cups water

4 to 5 cardamom pods

1 teaspoon rose water or 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder

Mix milk powder, all-purpose flour, and baking soda

Add ghee and mix until crumbly

Add milk little by little and form a soft dough

Rest the dough for 10 minutes

Divide the dough into small smooth balls

Heat oil or ghee on low flame

Fry the balls on low to medium-low heat until golden brown

Remove and drain excess oil

Boil sugar and water with cardamom pods until syrup forms

Add rose water or cardamom powder to the syrup

Soak the fried balls in warm sugar syrup for 1 to 2 hours

Serve warm or chilled
