Boil 1 part white granulated sugar with 4 parts water
Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved
Let the mixture cool completely
Pour into a clean hummingbird feeder
Store any extra in the refrigerator
Replace the nectar every 2 to 3 days in warm weather
Replace the nectar every 5 to 7 days in cooler weather
Clean the feeder regularly with hot water and a brush
Do not use honey, brown sugar, artificial sweeteners, or red dye
