Open the image in an editor that supports transparency
Select the background using a magic wand, lasso, or remove background tool
Refine the selection if needed
Delete the background or mask it out
Save the image as a PNG or another format that supports transparency
Export the file with transparency enabled
Check the saved image to confirm the background is transparent
