Boil 2 cups of water
Add 1 small piece of ginger, crushed
Add 4 to 5 tulsi leaves
Add 1 small cinnamon stick
Add 2 to 3 black peppercorns, lightly crushed
Add 2 cloves
Add 1 small piece of jaggery or 1 teaspoon honey after cooling slightly
Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes
Strain into a cup
Drink warm
