Check your laptop brand’s battery utility in Windows 11
Open the manufacturer app and look for a battery charge limit, conservation mode, or battery health mode
Lenovo: use Lenovo Vantage and enable Conservation Mode or set charge threshold to 80%
Dell: use Dell Power Manager or MyDell and set the battery charge limit to 80%
HP: use HP BIOS/UEFI settings or HP Support Assistant battery options
ASUS: use MyASUS and enable Battery Health Charging, then select 80% mode
Acer: use Acer Care Center or BIOS battery charge limit settings
MSI: use MSI Center and enable Battery Master or battery charge limit
Surface devices: use Surface app or BIOS options if available
If no app option exists, enter BIOS/UEFI during startup and look for battery charge limit, battery conservation, or charging threshold settings
Update the manufacturer app and BIOS/UEFI if the option is missing
If your laptop does not support an 80% charge limit, use a third-party battery limiter only if it is compatible with your device
Confirm the setting is saved and restart the laptop if required
Verify the battery stops charging near 80% after reconnecting the charger
