Mix 2 cups masa harina with 1/2 teaspoon salt in a bowl
Add 1 1/2 cups warm water gradually
Stir until a soft dough forms
Knead the dough for 1 to 2 minutes until smooth
Cover the dough and let it rest for 15 to 30 minutes
Divide the dough into small balls
Place each ball between two pieces of plastic or parchment
Press or roll each ball into a thin round tortilla
Heat a dry skillet or griddle over medium-high heat
Cook each tortilla for about 30 to 45 seconds on the first side
Flip and cook for about 30 to 45 seconds on the second side
Flip once more and cook for about 10 to 15 seconds until lightly puffed
Keep cooked tortillas wrapped in a clean towel
Serve warm
