Toast dried chiles
Soak the chiles in hot water
Blend chiles with onion, garlic, tomato, nuts, seeds, spices, and broth
Heat oil in a pot
Fry the blended sauce until thickened
Add chocolate or cocoa if desired
Simmer with broth until smooth and rich
Season with salt and sugar to taste
Serve over chicken, turkey, enchiladas, or rice
