Open Facebook and go to your profile
Tap the menu icon
Go to Settings and privacy
Tap Settings
Open Privacy Checkup
Set who can see your future posts to Friends or Only me
Change past posts visibility if needed
Set who can send you friend requests to Friends of friends
Set who can look you up using your email address to Friends or Only me
Set who can look you up using your phone number to Friends or Only me
Turn off search engine linking to your profile
Go to Profile and tagging settings
Limit who can post on your profile
Limit who can see posts you are tagged in
Review tags before they appear on your profile
Go to Followers and public content settings
Change who can follow you to Friends
Hide your friends list if available
Review your profile information and remove anything you do not want public
Check app and website permissions and remove unused connections
Use the audience selector when posting to choose Friends or Only me
Repeat privacy checks regularly
